Update from Administrator – February 17, 2021
Dear Families,
I hope this email finds you well and healthy.
We continue to remain COVID FREE, residents and staff, and our residents completed another round of testing this morning. We are hopeful that we will have no new cases as we continue to maintain our vigilance in using PPE and infection control practices. We are very excited that our residents and staff have now had the opportunity to receive their doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from CVS here at our center. Any resident and staff member who did not participate or may be new to our center since the clinics were offered, continue to be eligible to receive the vaccine under the Phase 1a category. However, the vaccine will be administered outside of our center. If your loved one is new to our center, we will contact you about your options as we continue to receive information from the state and CVS on the evolving plans.
As mentioned last week via email, we are very excited to now be open for indoor visitation. Our residents have shared their excitement regarding this and we are hopeful to maintain our open status in the coming weeks. Please keep in mind our protocol for visitation so that we can continue keeping our residents and staff safe while enhancing the quality of life for all.
Visitation Reminders:
- No pets are allowed
- Limit of 2-3 visitors only, this includes children
- All visitors and residents must wear a facemask that fully covers your nose and mouth and it must remain in place throughout the entire visit; you must perform hand hygiene prior to approaching the visit area
- Visitors must be screened by Litchfield Woods staff prior to engaging in the scheduled visit
- Please remember, social distancing means no hugging and no touching; you must remain 6ft from one another at all times
- Our team reserves the right to terminate any visit if there appears to be a potential of compromising the safety of our residents and/or staff

As a reminder, our next “Town Hall” meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 18th at 1pm. We encourage all residents and family members to call in with any questions or concerns you may have. Our commitment is to be as transparent as possible and work to address any issues that arise.
