Update from Administrator – March 3, 2021
Our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy. I am pleased to report that we continue to be COVID FREE, both residents and staff. Our weekly resident testing has been discontinued at this point in time but our employees continue to be tested on a weekly basis.
As a result of us remaining free of the Covid-19 virus, we have started expanding our daily activity offerings. Each day there are various programs scheduled to engage our residents and get them out of their rooms to socialize in a safe environment. If you would like more details regarding our scheduled programs please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We would be more than happy to share a copy of our activity calendar and are also open to new ideas. We continue to offer indoor visits and encourage you to contact our Recreation Department, Lynn or Pam, to schedule these. They can be reached via phone Monday-Friday at 860-489-5801. If you are unable to reach one of them please feel free to contact me so that I can assist.
Last week I noted that we are currently looking to find a new hairdresser. Thank you to everyone that referred someone or has reached out themselves. We have a few candidates interested and we are starting the interview process this week. Hopefully we will have services in place within the next week or two. Once we have someone secured we will share the details with everyone in one of our upcoming weekly updates.
As a reminder, our next “Town Hall” meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 4th at 1pm. We encourage any residents and family members to contact us with questions or concerns you may have about the care we are offering. Our commitment is to be as transparent as possible and work to address any issues that arise.
