Update From Administrator – October 7, 2020
Dear Families,
As always, our team and I hope this email finds you safe and healthy. We are happy to report that we remain COVID free! We continue testing our staff and residents at regular intervals as required by CMS, CDC and DPH.
Thank you to all our families that have been complying with facility protocols for visitation. While the weather is changing, we will work to continue to do outside visits on our patio for as long as possible but have started offering indoor visitation in our Recreation Room when the weather is not cooperating. The process for scheduling these visits remains the same: schedule a visit by calling 860-489-5801 or emailing us at recreation@litchfieldwoodshcc.com. Should a new case of COVID be identified in the center, all inside visits, except end stage of life, will be temporarily put on hold.
More good news… we have a family member who is willing to assist in providing hair services to our residents this Thursday and Friday!! We are still not able to have hair services in the facility per DPH guidelines, but we will be doing haircuts out on the patio. Our team has developed a list of residents requesting to have haircuts but if you would like your loved one seen please let us know. We will only be able to see a certain number of residents within the designated timeframes each day but if we can not get their hair done this week we will work hard to arrange additional times for next week.
As a reminder, our next “Town Hall” meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 8th at 1pm. We encourage all residents and family members to call in with any questions or concerns you may have. Our commitment is to be as transparent as possible and work to address any issues that arise.
